Annie and Scott started out their day at the White House in West Clay. This place was amazing! The ladies were in the upstairs suite. It had beautiful furnishings, neutral decor, a kitchen, multiple bedrooms/bathrooms and plenty of hangout space. Sometimes the prep spaces that bridal parties get ready in are tight and cramped. This was not. The groomsmen were in the basement suite and it was just as perfect.
During our planning meeting, Annie told me that they wanted to have their first look at the beginning of the formal photo time so that they could immediately do their couples photos. They wanted to have some quiet time alone before the rest of the wedding day began. I thought that this was such a great idea. I think a lot of us get a little nervous/jittery before a wedding because of the amount of people watching, all the planning that goes into the day and so much more. Not because of our relationship with our partners. So, it was nice to see them relax and calm in each other’s presence before their ceremony. As long as you get married, that’s what the day is about. (But there is soooo much pressure to have a fantastic day!)
Annie and Scott had a beautiful wedding ceremony in the amphitheater at Coxhall Gardens. Their reception was just east of the ampitherater inside a Ritz Charles venue. Their neutral color palette was heightened with the addition of emerald green. It was the perfect compliment to the changing scenery in early October. Annie and Scott, congratulations!
