I think I tend to avoid blogging about the weddings I photograph because I have such a difficult time narrowing down my favorite images. I’m sorry to tell you, but this wedding is no different. I had a miserable time narrowing down the images, so I stopped trying. Friends, I LOVED this wedding.
First of all, I love this couple. Katherine and Renee are two fantastic humans. Just salt of the earth. I met Kat years ago through a mutual friend. We have chatted over the years and kept in touch. She is one of the coolest people I know. I mean look at her. Renee is a perfect match for her. Soul bonded. I have grown to know Renee a little bit and she is just as fantastic as her wife.
If you can’t tell, their wedding was expertly planned down to the last detail. I mean this is fairy tale stuff, folks. They got ready for the day at their home with family and close friends. They had custom mugs made for everyone’s coffee. {I drink out of my mug daily}. The jewelry was custom made by Elizabeth at Moyer Fine Jewelers. Lei of House of Breton brought their attire vision to life. It was serious perfection. Spy the beautiful pens in their stationary images, that’s how they met. I mean, come on, the details!
They took a shuttle bus out to Shades State Park for the ceremony and were married underneath a canopy of trees at Lover’s Leap. Their reception was hosted at Napolese in Broad Ripple. The food was divine. The smiles were contagious. Their love is one for the ages.
{Peep the film images I attempted for them.} I haven’t shot film since undergrad. But, Katherine is obsessed, so I did it. I took some film and her Mamiya home with me to practice a few days before. I really enjoy how those photos bring a little extra feeling to the gallery, even if they aren’t the most crisp.
Thanks for stopping by! Love, Eileen
