Matt is my friend Lauren’s little brother. I was so excited that they hired me for their wedding! It was a little tricky planning out a date for their engagement session because they live in D.C., but we made it happen.

So, they wanted to start out at Harry’s for some photos getting drinks and hanging out, also, let’s put on a little liquid warmth for their outdoor session. But, me being a new mom with brain fog, I completely forgot my ID. It mattered not that I was breastfeeing/pumping and wouldn’t be drinking anyway. I couldn’t get into the bar. I was so frustrated and embarrassed.

They handled it so well though. I encouraged them to get some drinks and meet me across the street. It was an extremely windy day. Luckily hair was tamed a little bit with hats in their first outfit, but the second was a little more wild. It was great getting to know them in person and spending the frigid evening running around Purdue’s campus.
